Statement of Faith

As Wesleyans, we believe in one God, who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and the Savior of all men and women who put their faith in Him alone for eternal life.  We believe that those who receive new life in Christ are called to be holy in character and conduct, and can only live this way by being filled with the Lord’s Spirit.  We believe in the Bible and seek to establish our faith and actions on its teachings.  We believe God wills for people everywhere to know Him and that the purpose of the church is to tell the world about Christ through its worship, witness, and loving deeds.

Purpose Statement

Building The Kingdom One Person At A Time - Matthew 28:18-20 - Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them inthe name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Background Information

Coleman Wesleyan Church began in 1940, with a small group of dedicated Christ-followers. Since then, we have been actively involved in reaching out to our community with the great love of Christ, and have seen our congregation grow and mature by continuing to commit to that principle.  Our church has always been focused upon the strengthening of families, which we foster through dynamic youth and children’s ministries, and adult small groups.  While we celebrate the past, our focus is upon the present and the future. We are continuing to pursue God’s purpose for us here by actively presenting the real Jesus to our community in a way every person can understand.
